Understated vanilla, medium clove, light cinnamon, some of the most beautiful dark spice I’ve had in a wine, dark rich soils, light graphite, dry crush rocks, dry top soil, fresh tobacco and fresh, dark florals with violets and just a hint of lavender. The acidity is perfect...like a rain shower. The finish is really amazingly balanced, elegant, floral and persistent for minutes. The 2016 Proprietary Blend will stun in 10 years plus in bottle.

If this Brand were a girl, she would not be the hottest girl at the party. Totally approachable just nothing to lust over. A nice personality. None of the qualities I'm looking for in a $200 a bottle wine.

Mind-blowing. There's a lot of hype surrounding Brand (neighbors of Ovid). The hype is real, they absolutely lived up to it. The proprietary red was a sign of the AVA's true potential.
