Braida
Limonte Grignolino d'Asti
Asti, Piedmont, Italy
Definitely a summer afternoon wine with a Margherita pizza. Light sour cherries, strawberries, some white pepper, fine grain tannin profile, saline, dry top soil, rose petals, big acidity and a pleasant finish but a bit uneventful.

Jun 19th, 2018if a wine could be described as "happy” 😃, it would be Grignolino, a lesser-known grape from #Piedmont, #Italy, that makes wine of great refreshment and affordability. This '14 Braida di Giacomo Bologna “Limonte” spreads the joy in typical #Grignolino fashion, light in body with hints of strawberry and licorice, and ample tanginess to keep you cool 😎 in these warm, waning days of #summer. ☀️

Strawberry nose, light color like a very light rose, soft, gentle flavor, a little astringent in the mouth, brings out spices in salami very nicely, refreshing

pale red, fruity, strawberry, high acidity and significant tannins, good for appetitive, alcohol a little bit too high

A fun wine!
Young, lively with an aromatic nose full of flowers (roses, lillies), strawberry, red cherry. There’s also some tar and resin (a very slight nebbiolo-hint), licorice, aniseed and something reminiscent of amaro.
