Brack Mountain Wine Company
Scholar & Mason Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of baking spice, blackberry, cream, jam, oak, raspberry, and vanilla. Medium-high body; medium-plus tannins; and medium-high acidity. Enticing nose; smooth palate; lovely, long finish. Solid Napa Cab, silky and balanced. Majority of fruit from Yountville, and the rest from Calistoga. Barrel-aged in French oak (45% new) for 19 months.

Paid around $30 for this wine and tasted a tad like grape juice :(

Just OK for me. Not a lot of flavor. Too light.

Big time tartrate crystals when I open had me worried it'd be disjointed. But it was wonderfully complex and balanced. Lavender, leather. The fruit is on the precipice of red and black. Really delicious Cab! Best wishes to everyone in Northern California right now. Stay safe.

Elegant, with some toasty spice notes that complement the dark fruit. Pleasant acidity balances it out.
