Boundary Breaks Vineyard
No. 239 Finger Lakes Dry Riesling
Not dry, but nice. Shy aromas, medium body. Good acidity. Sorbate?

Nov 27th, 2018Single vineyards and such a gem! Very expressive once it's warms up. Petrol initially hits, followed loads of fruit. Canned peaches, apricots, honey, green apple and camomile make for great bouquet. Wine shows a touch of RS on the tip of the tongue, then unrelenting acid that lingers for minutes. A domestic Riesling that can hold its own against old world producers.

2 people found it helpfulJul 8th, 2016Tantalizing and delicious from start to finish. Stirs the nose with petrol fumes, fleshy ripe peaches, and ripe apricots. The initial rush of sugar hits your palate, followed by buckets of tart green apples, peaches, and a velvety, encompassing, lengthy, and dry finish.

1 person found it helpfulDec 18th, 20152014 Boundary Breaks 239 Dry Riesling. One of the best wines I have had from the Finger Lakes especially considering the potential price. The high quality of the 2014 vintage really shines in this wine with a rich texture that is beautifully balanced by focused acidity. The burst of ripe white peach flavors with mineral and floral notes make this wine a show stopper. It is a very exciting wine! Sample. Not released yet so price is not available. 2013 is USD $20.

Medium- lemon with green hue, medium nose of lemon custard, reduction, lemon zest and a light pine note. Dry, tiny tingle or spritz, great acidity and great balance and finish. #riesling #fingerlakeswinecountry

Apr 13th, 2017Pear, petrol, white flowers and a touch of white pepper on the back end. Tastes similar to the nose. Really great wine, especially for the price. It will be perfect with jambalaya!
