Like the ‘18 of this, the ‘19 delivers bang for the buck. Deeply fruity nose has dark red berries, cassis, blackberry. There’s a bit of toasty barrel scent and lots of minerally gravel. On the palate, it’s mouthfilling, delivering lots of deep fruit, tannins submerged, and decent acids. A tad simple, perhaps, but I’m not complaining.

A solid, characterful, rustic, Bordeaux-ish blend purchased at a ridiculously low price. Nose is boisterous with inky graphite, baker’s chocolate, dark cassis, and meaty, feral notes. Peppery and large-framed in the mouth. It’s got a bit of a rustic texture and manner but doesn’t skimp.
