Mix of leather, black currant with notes of smoke. A little dusty. On the lighter side, a little more acidity than I like in cabs.

Dark, almost black. Medium+ viscosity. Bright, sweet red fruits, licorice, and vanilla on the nose. Medium body, medium+ acid, medium+ alcohol (marked 13.8%, but tastes much higher), medium, pretty round tannins, gravel, tart blackberries and raspberries, dust/dirt on palette. Paired very well with chimichurri skirt steak and artichokes.

Color of deep burgundy with brownish haze on the rim. Nose of round alcohol, herbs, leather, dark cherries, and a bit smoky barrel note. Taste of polished but powerful acidity with sweet note hidden within it, dried dates, cherries, leathery, anise, hot spices, peppery, and low in the tannins. A bit too watery. Aftertaste of some dried apricot note, spice, lingering acidity, and ground white pepper, not too long. Considering the price tag, it doesn't resonate too well with me.

Tart cherry bomb! Great with venison carpaccio and a New York strip steak.

Let this wine breath for an hour. A bit aggressive at first but opens up, relaxes and smooths out. Dark burgundy color. Medium plus nose with loads of pencil shavings, blackberry and ripe plumb. Dark fruit on the palate...black cherry, blackberry, cedar and cloves. Rich but not overly ripe. Long finish. Good balance. Very smooth and natural tannins.

A blend of an all-star list of old vine Washington Cabernet sites in different micro climates and differing soil profiles. Incredibly young, ripe, with an alpine herbaceous note that reminds me of Rob's place up Icicle Creek. Dry wine, but the fruit profile is sweet, like Kirsch or Cassis without being syrupy. Intensity and extraction without agressive green or tannin. Nice wine, it's a baby. Last bottle, wish I would have waited another 10 years.

Starts off with blackberry fruit and leather flavors, but herbaceous and medicinal notes take over, before ending with a long chalky finish. I fell in love w Boudreaux a long time ago but the last few I purchased just haven’t held up. Disappointing, especially given the price.

3x bottles over the course of the night. Each bottle was a stunner. Firm texture with notes of cherry, coffee and hints of smoke. Smooth as it opened in decanter.
