If I was blinding this, I would have confidently said New Zealand Sauv Blanc - and been totally wrong. Tropical fruits and gooseberries on the nose. Somewhere in there is some Loire flintiness. Not what I was expecting but still pleasant nonetheless.

Its almost as if the winemaker wanted to emulate the New Zealand style. Lots of green pepper and gooseberry but still had that fume flint character which kept It interesting.

Definite citrus-forward New Zealand flavors, but I’m also getting the lemon-forward South Africanist influence on top of the subtle flint notes. Lemon, lime, grapefruit (but only on the palate), gooseberry, floral notes, and a hint of green pepper. Juicy and well balanced against a hint of mineral.
