2007 vintage. Tight nose upon opening and decanting so let it sit for two hours. Definitely helped. Zero sediment. Rhubarb and brown sugar on the nose after that grace period. Light-medium body. Plenty of youthful fruit topped off with a big punch of spices on the finish. Not showing perfectly currently (maybe another 1-2 hours in the decanter?) but still pretty darned special. That Bouchard consistency and push definitely evident. The color confirmed the age but the amount of concentrated fruits provided a watertight alibi. A tad mysterious but feel this offering is still ascending vs descending.

Feb 20th, 2023Joe knows I'm a Corton slut and came prepared (so to speak...) the purity of fruit, unripe cherry, strawberry essence, with white flowers. The nose had that special Corton cheese on it, some truffles came out after 2 hrs. Fine, fine tannins make for an amazing frame. Years (10++) to go.
