Bouchard Père et Fils
Aloxe-Corton Pinot Noir
Delightfully elegant with just the right amount of heft to the body, with dark cherries, smoked meat and some earthiness - the kind of complexities you'd expect from northerly Cote de Beaune, and reminiscent of a Nuits-St-Georges perhaps. Lovely hint of salinity and jerky, not prominent. Very smooth. This was enjoyed with a variety of steaks, roasted vegetables.
