Arrived as a gift from wine.com as a side-by-side comparison of Pinot Noir from CA and Burgundy. Fun to experience it with my sister and her family, who gave it. Solid, basic expression of old world style with much fuss.

1 person found it helpfulAug 9th, 2020Ruby red and transparent in color. On the nose dried roses, graphite and strawberries, but with a muted aroma. On the palate the strawberries are again muted with more cranberries coming through. Definitely astringent on the finish but with soft tannins giving a slate finish. The wine is quiet in its display of fruit, acid and minerality. Starting to get decomposed leaves on the finish as the wine sits in the glass. It's quite drinkable but I imagine won't be memorable.

Feb 7th, 2022April 2020. Purchased for wine.com virtual tasting. Light bodied red, faint aromatics, light red fruit and slight earth. Just ok. I’ve had far better Bourgogne.
