Ruby with a bouquet of fruit, spices, leather, oak and rose petals. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry with notes of pepper, mint and cacao. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy sweet notes. Just starting to drink now! Will continue to age.

Needs a decent decant (3+ hrs), after which it shows well. This isn't yet at peak and the firm tannins suggest it will develop for several more years, at minimum.

Sheer class. Weight and depth, fine yet grippy tannins and astounding persistence of flavours. This is gorgeous Neb. Still on the youthful side at 12 years but that's Barolo from a top vintage. Rose, dried fruits and cigar. Mhmm. More please.

Damn. 12 years old and a puppy. Star anise, tobacco and dried fruits. Tannin is integrated, the oak is seamless and flavours just go on. Seriously good. And now for food...

Decanted and tasted knowing only the vintage (2007) and the varietal (Nebbiolo). I guessed a Barbaresco. Light oak and bing Cherry nose. Light acid and drops off mid palate at first. With time and air opens to a lovely smooth and integrated wine.
