Very fruit forward, little oak, slight acidic mid-pallet. Vanilla, plum and a little oak on the moderate finish. This is a very nice inexpensive merlot. Bonus points for being organic. $9.00

Somebody left this bottle over after bae’s friends hijacked the living room and I was sanctioned to the bedroom to write.
A little too alcoholic perfumey bouquet. Charcoal and jam.
Mealy at first sip. Too tannic. Jammy, but muted by the astringent qualities at the end note. Off balance.

Some elements to enjoy — cherry, cranberry, plenty of red fruit — but the acidity is bracing and there are some cacao notes that don’t mesh well with the red fruits. Fine to drink, but not worth revisiting.
