An awesome Merlot for an awesome price! On the nose, blackberry, smoke, tobacco, earth, and chocolate. On the palate, medium tannins, plum, cherry, blackberry, oak, and a smoky mocha finish. I enjoyed this paired with a pasta carbonara florentine. #winelife #merlotisitmeyourelookingfor #youhadmeatmerlot #winepuns #perfectpairing

Binny’s.

Sep 26th, 2022Somebody left this bottle over after bae’s friends hijacked the living room and I was sanctioned to the bedroom to write.
A little too alcoholic perfumey bouquet. Charcoal and jam.
Mealy at first sip. Too tannic. Jammy, but muted by the astringent qualities at the end note. Off balance.

Nov 26th, 2020Some elements to enjoy — cherry, cranberry, plenty of red fruit — but the acidity is bracing and there are some cacao notes that don’t mesh well with the red fruits. Fine to drink, but not worth revisiting.
