Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay

Still youthful and lean with a lovely waxy-lemony side - 1998

Gardenia, ripe Apple and pear. Wet earth, minerality, m+ acid, m body. Roasted nuts, lemon zest. A bit creamy. Cannot believe this is a 1998 vintage. It can probably age another 20 years easily.

Such a lovely wine. Still youthful. At a great place in its evolution. Drink it now.

1998 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru - Solid developmental character with balance and complexity. Aromas of mineral, citrus peel and green bean with flavors of dried pineapple, fuji apple and hints of nougat (oxidized notes) Bright and fresh with a rich smooth texture. F-ing gorgeous.

Pristine. No signs of premox. Just beautiful.

A little oxidized but still real sexy the first hour.

Good. Rather oaky. Even seems to have some wood tannins. Drink up.

Distant 3rd place of 3 wines and crazy expensive. Oxidized.

Wow! Not oxidized.

Fully mature fully mature, but brilliant acid keeping it all lively.
