Six months ago, the first bottle of this was a bit fresher and just acidic enough. This bottle was more evolved and the acidity more flat; more typical 2003 richness without much direction. Improved on day 2 and quite enjoyable. Still, I'd say time to drink up on these B-L '03s. #lastbottleblues

A beautiful wine. Such a luscious texture with smells and flavors of rich tropical fruits and apricots. For $15 a bottle, this wine was an absolute steel! A classic example of how noble Mosel Rieslings are quite the bargain.

Love the 2001! Perfectly balanced with delectable auslese sweetness and generous acidity. May be nearing the point it won't get much better. Drink it if you have some! Recommended.
