This isn't my brand or style, particularly. But as a buyer I love this balanced approach of a fuller Amarone as a perfect protagonist to Speri, Begali and Sant'Antonio. Very, very well done and at a reasonable price.

Aromas of sour cherries, chocolate, roses, black tea, and vanilla with background notes of nutmeg, allspice, and Ceylon cinnamon (the cinnamon closer to that found in Red Hots, not the softer Saigon cinnamon). Strong alcohol and acid. Spicy, almost piquant finish.

Amarone is a favorite. Makes me want to return to Italy to drink a bottle under the stars. Brown on the edges, dark cherry on the nose with medium viscosity. Cherries, berries and smoke.
