Had to get another bottle, it was better than 1st. Vega Sicilia started purchasing vineyards in Toro in 1997 but didn’t release Pintia until ‘01 after perfecting style. 100% Tinta de Toro, thick-skinned clone of Tempranillo, complex aromas of fruit & spice. Aged for 13 months in French & American oak. Intense aromas, notes of cedar & berry fruits. Palate intense fresh dark berry fruit flavors with oak notes, well balanced with acidity. Complex tannins, lingering, elegant fruit finesse with earthy tones. Fav

Still young but yet already nice. It still needs some time to develop. Nice black fruit but also some undeveloped green tannines. Make sure the wine get some air and it is now already drinkable with a piece of red meat.
