May 28th, 2017Dark ruby hue. Aromas of cassis, cherry, earthy, leather, licorice, plum, smoke, tar, violet. Full bodied with full tannins and high acidity. Soft tannins. A little hot at the outset and needs time to open up. But otherwise beautiful and expressive. A definitive pairing with red meat. 100% Tempranillo.

@ £45 this RdD from Vega Sicilia always delivers 👍 This latest 2013 is lighter & more elegant & reminded me of a Côte Rôtie which was unusual but it's yummy & given time will improve much more 👍 fab for money 😉

Spanish magic. It's gone. Big bold and almost brutish. This wine is powerful. The tannins are integrated yet pronounced.
