Serious and well made, easy drinking despite the complexity, length and concentration. Ripe cherries and notes of coffee, cocoa and tobacco

Great, as always! 2009 was a great year and while young, terrific!

Either modern old-school or vintage-styled new wave, either way irresistible.

2009 Vintage. Crushed rocks, anise, cherries, tar, and cured meat dominate the nose. Black cherry, eucalyptus, and balsamic, are the leading flavors of this wine. The wine is gritty, opened for 8 hours and still has real grip. This will do well in the cellar for another 5 years.

I really enjoyed this wine. I think Americans would have to love it. It's got all the boldness of a Corvette or Kate Upton. Only downside for me is that the tannins could be a little more polished, especially two years after its commercial release. WA gave the 2011 94 points.
