El Reto Manchuela Albilla

Fun Spanish white; amazing pairing with pickled sushi ginger. Otherwise, fine. Highly recommended if you're having pickled ginger for dinner.

Reto, DO Manchuela, Bodegas Ponce. Un vino estructurado y,complejo. Aromas a heno, acidez marcada, glicérico pero no dulzón ni excesivamente perfumado. Sutil, a la vez potente y largo. En un año en la cave ha madurado muy bien

Wow. Complex white from the La Mancha region. Nose is both fruity and briney. Melon, grapefruit, Granny Smith apples, tangerines, sea salt, herbs and floral notes. Long citrus and melon finish. A great find.

Taut acidity and rich texture. Reminds me of chenin blanc in terms of texture and minerality (but not flavor.)

A little reductive, but it's got this nice raw almond, green apple, lemon thing going on. Have loved every albillo I've had.

Probably our favorite white so far. Crisp and sweet. Got c drunk on it. Could not take advantage though.

Seems Chenin-like. Honey and melon and mineral and high acid. Very cool.
