Capricho Val de Paxarinas Bierzo Godello

I had this at the Barcelona Airport Hotel on a layover there. I did not have encountered the producer before and as this was quite inexpensive entry on the wine list I did not expect very much. But what a positive surprise this wine was! Loved it.

Oro pajizo, muy buena nariz notas minerales, floral y notas cítricas en el fondo. En boca buena entrada, paso equilibrado y final muy rico.

One of the best Godello's that may have ever touched this palate.

Im offenausschank und vorher noch auf delectable gecheckt. Bei den noten dachte ich erst dass es nicht ganz der gleiche wein von diesem produzenten sein kann. Nach dem zweiten schluck allerdings schon! Wow! Einfach wow! Feinfruchtig, weisse blüten, birnen, etwas minze, im gaumen weich, rund, südfrüchtig mit leichter mineralität. Hut ab!

Always find myself enjoying Godello when I have it - need to seek it out more. This one is on the more giving side, with lots of lemony fruitiness. Incredible crunchy acid texture. Definitely mouth puckering (in a good way) and with a lingering finish that has that jolly rancher quality.

Intense and fresh apples and apricots. Good length.
