Vidau Rioja Grenache

Bold and powerful. Calms down as it opens up. Decant but drink soon. Pretty good.

Very sharp. Probably better aerated.

2008 is just as nice as the 2005. This wine ages beautifully.

Just bought this older vintage on WTSO 6 bottles. Great nose. Both black and red fruit. Vanilla. Sweet. Big mouth. And get the big red and black...blackberry cherry less vanilla. Very fine tannins. Some spice dirt and chalk mixed in. While prefer RDD and Toro over rioja usually, this is damn good. Glad there are a bunch more to drink over next 2-3.

Super smooth but not overly interesting.

Excellent qpr - classic dusty rioja notes. Plenty of life left, will benefit from a little more cellar time.

Good sharp everyday dinner wine.
