Dec 30th, 2022Pale lemon in color.
Light on the nose with tropical fruits, pears, red apple and peaches.
Medium bodied and buttery with high acidity.
Tart on the palate with grapefruits, yeast, citrus, lemons, almonds, cream and spices.
Medium finish, tart and bitter.
This white Rioja is Simple and not interesting. Was too tart and bitter to sip on. More of a food wine.
95% Viura and 5% Malvasia grapes. Fermented in new oak barrels and was left on its lees for another 4 months.
Had it last year and it was extremely oaky. A year in the bottle, calmed it down a lot.
13% alcohol by volume.
