Corte A Malbec Blend

Some earthy raisin on the nose. This must be left on the vine extra long. Dark, overripe raspberry in the nose. Such a mouthful. Tastes like amarone. All raisin up front. Some extraordinarily varied earth flavors mid palate. Spice and tannin and rock and petroleum. Some ethanol and mint. Some pronounced dark chocolate in the finish. Really a whirlwind of extraordinary flavors that typically oppose one another, but here are all remarkably composed and part of the journey. Big but nuanced.

A big and very contracted wine that is full of rich and ripe black and blue fruits with round tannins. This must be mostly #malbec but unfortunately the #cepage is not revealed. Best to drink with just a few years of age and a giant Uruguayan ribeye from #francismallmann #elgarzon #bodegasvistalba #argentina

This #malbec blend from #argentina was best of the night. Deep and rich. Well balanced dark fruit and herbs. This is a big one coming in at 14.8% - yet balanced.

Yes. 'Nuff said.
