Casta de Salvajes

Mendoza Malbec 2013

“Non-traditional”, early harvesting, fermented and aged in concrete eggs this is a rustic, yet seductive example of Argentinian Malbec. It needs time in the glass to open up and it’s really rewarding once it does! — 9 days ago

Terrazas de Los Andes

High Altitude Vineyards Malbec 2017

Cherry, an earthy note, violet, some spices too. The palate is well designed and quite fresh, with a strong acid backbone, a beautiful cherry note all along, a good width and a soft mouthfeel. The mid palate builds up slowly and expands nicely, with a slight layer of grainy tannins. The finsih is long and fruity with a spicy note. This wine is very precise with that sheer acid drive, you can bet it was grown in high altitude from that freshness and that energy. Good one! — 15 days ago

El Enemigo

Mendoza Chardonnay 2017

Excellent Chardonnay done in a new world style, but very elegant. Intense gold/green colour in the glass, floral, slightly smoky nose with a toasty palate that includes flavours of lemon meringue, pear, and a slightly saline finish. Paired with a hot smoked salmon, angel hair pasta dish. Solid. — a day ago

@Neil Valenzuela It’s worth trying if you can track some down! One of our boutique wine stores carries it up here in YYC.
