Cueva del Monge Rioja Blanco White Blend

Tasted blind. Got some tropical notes, oak, nuttiness, and a toasted marshmallow element.

Deep gold. Toasty, milky caramel aromas. Just a hint of CO2 on the palate entry then fresh acids and an echo of the toasty aromas in mouth. this worked very well with a mild and slightly sweet Thai green curry with vegetables.

Pale yellow. Creamy corn, golden raisin, and a lifted fruit note in the back of the mouth. Silky textured with excellent integration of oak.

Nice oakiness. A little butterscotch. Very light flavour, bordering on watery but still lovely.

Beautifully balanced barrel fermented character with only faint oak influence. 70/20/10 viura/malvasia/other??. Outstanding!

Nice and round. Deep gold color. Caramel nose with some caramelized lemon and a hint of minerality. Shades if mango and nuance of banana. Super delicious solid Fall wine. Apples , quince paste, figs

Old white Rioja. Way cool.

Lovely, nutty and stone fruit.
