Pretty close to my last notes. Definitely needed the time to come into tasty Rioja phase. Cherries, fig, tobacco, herbs de Provence. Awesome with pizza.

Now this is a Rioja! Excellent structure, powerful rich dark fruits, elegant texture, superbly integrated tannins and oak wrappings that introduce prodominate sweet tobacco notes and toasty vanilla following, winding down in a gripping finale! $30 for this bottle and it backs up every cent. Definitely would be a bottle to impress a dinner party, all I can say is, Bravo!

Creamy cherries, tobacco, and currants are carried along by grippy, yet fine-grained tannins. Sharing this with friends over a grilled Angus ribeye! Any hint of oak only provides slight tertiary tones.

This bottle was an anomaly: had this many times, this was so vegetal, so absolutely herbaceous, forest floor & medicinal. Interesting to see what the next one brings

Solid showing - haven’t had this in 5+ yrs & really peaking w/inky color & bricking on swirl - still resembles Left Bank effort, New World Rioja for sure: cherry, red & black plum, boysenberry, cassis, vanilla, tobacco, subtle cedar, black pepper and vein of minerality running thru… finely grained tannins along w/integrated acidity makes this a very complete experience.

Needs time to open. Smooth and smokey. Jammy finish.

I was the only one drinking who really liked this. It's well-developed and shows lots of wood and spice, less oopy-gloopy fruit. Excellent with NY style pizza.
