Dark ruby /Inky with a thin purple rim.
Strong nose of blackberries, sweet cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, cloves, metals, tobacco, spice box, coffee, earth, light vegetables, red candy, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with high acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, red currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, tar, earth, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Medium finish with round tannins and bitter herbs.
This is a young Malbec from the Uco Valley in Mendoza. A bit bitter, unbalanced, sour and hot on the back of the throat. Shows notes of complexity.
Drinkable but needs some bottle time. Better after it opens up (2 hours). Would pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
100% Malbec grapes are grown at above 3,300 feet elevation, and aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Unfiltered.
14% alcohol by volume.
