This young Rioja Reserva is easy drinking with pleasant mixtures of red and dark fruits, vanilla, light spice, hint of espresso and smoke. Smooth tannins.
A solid Rioja at around $15.00. Extra points for a silly price of $8.50 at Costco. Should have picked up couple more bottles and forget them for another 4-5 years.

Dark cloudy red with a thin clearish rim. Nose didn’t give me too much. Really opened up after an hour decant. Bold and busy. Only thing that could’ve been better is the integration but this has long, diverse fruits including a smokey cherry and orange peel toward the end. It tops off with a nice, dry smooth tannin finish and a touch of peppery tobacco. Loved this on an early summer night.
