Tried this blind and thought it was Tuscan. An absurdly good Rioja. So good that it beat out the Tuscan I tried it against.

Deep semi-translucent purple color and full bodied with high acidity. Lots of red fruit on the nose. Dried cherry and licorice notes on the palate leading to a spicy finish with firm tannins. Big bold Rioja, best enjoyed with food, like a juicy steak.
