Oooh. Funky wine. Tart and easy drinking. If you like trying interesting ciders, you'll love this.

I believe this might be my first still cider as well as my first Spanish cider; this one is from Asturias, an area on the northern coast of Spain a bit west of Basque Country. Natural cider; cloudy, with visible yeast and culture strands at the bottom of the bottle. Nose shows crushed green and yellow apples galore, with an underlying apple cider vinegar character as well as a tiny bit of brett and licorice-y spice. On the palate the apples and vinegar-y character come through just as strong but are joined by a nice funky hay component that I really enjoy. Has a nice bit of acidity to to keep it nice and lively on the palate. A really solid cider and I'm surprised I didn't miss the bubbles of the non-still ciders I'm used to nearly as much as I was anticipating I might.

Very nice Sidra. Good funk & vinegar notes with plenty of sour apple vibes. Classic Spanish style cider.
