First sip made me pucker up. A bit overbearing with the wood and tannins at first, but softens with time. Recommend decanting. Rich dark fruit flavors redeems itself.

Tonight I am having the 2009 Altos de Luzon Jumilla. 50% Mouvedre - 30% Cabernet Sauvignon - 20% Tempranillo
The nose is notes of black plum, blackberry, savory meats, smoke, black pepper, and licorice.
On the palate I get blackberry, blueberry, black plum, leather, and lots of gravel.
With a full mouth feel I get High mouth watering acidity, medium + tannins with a long finish.
Very nice drinkable Spanish wine that would go with a good steak.
