Jumilla Monastrell

Good value. Mediterranean warmth of black fruit with a sweet hint, yet it remains fresh

Lovely, big but smooth, fruit forward but spicy on the back side.

Simple red wine, easy to drink, but gave me a headache after two glasses, so not sure if I would get it again.

Nose: cherry cola, wet tobacco, black and blue fruits, Luxardo cherries, raw steak (blood)

Palate: solid acidity (after 1 hour in decanter, MUCH less before it had time to open), black cherries, baker's chocolate, crushed red pepper, espresso

Quite delicious. Nicely balanced fruit, terroir and complexity for the price.

Beautiful nose with full fruit forward. Black cherry, spice and balanced tannins. Perfect for meats and pasta.

Really unique wine - stone fruit forward, and it smells smoky and has barbecue notes! Fairly tannic, and acidic!

Pleasantly surprised by the spicy plum and fig notes in this bold Spanish wine (Trader Joe's). Great pairing with acidic food. Will buy it again!
