Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Mostly Tempranillo with a small amount of Graciano, aged in oak for 15 months, from the Rioja Alavesa, where Tempranillo thrives in a microclimate strongly influenced both by the elevation and the proximity of the Atlantic ocean. Deep Ruby with aromas of aromas of red fruits with cedar and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and red plum with vanilla, oak and cacao notes. Fine tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, oak, pepper earthy character. Nice value!

Stiff tannins suggest a great ability to age this one... nice and dry, earthy, nice length.

Reminds me of a Mountain Bike ride during the fall in Park City. Decaying Forrest floor, dried leaves, lavender, violets. Red and blue fruits, allspice, beautiful (yet) heavy integration of oak, persistent finish. Best wine I've tasted this year (Feb 21, '14)

Warm cinnamon-spiced berries across the nose. Satisfying acid, and light to medium body for a variety of tapas entertaining. Delightfully blueberry fruit-driven. Yum!

Delicious, paired well with burgers and hot dogs. Smokey black fruit, leather, and cigar box. Game on for $13, hard to beat.

It took several minutes to open. Complex in nose, long bouquet. Suitable for a 'torta gallega' in this Friday.

Starts out with a slight acid taste. But melts into a rich earthy smooth raspberry fusion. Very dark color for a Rioja which masked the spice after taste at the end. Best to drink with meat or pasta. Might age well for another five years.
