Good but not great older Ribera del Duero. Good spice, leather and some earth, but lacking in the fruit that I have found in some older Riojas and some Riberas.

Nice. Again I'd hoped with the age I would not be wearing my socks when I sipped it. Still on. Really good though. The upfront sweat sock nose softened to a field/yard in a short time. Nice fruit up front with medium tannins to finish.

Mar 30th, 2017Gran Reserva 1994. Light smoke, meat, leather and American oak on the nose. Dark fruits and tobacco with perhaps a little too much alcohol on the palate (surprising for the 13% ABV).
