100% Tempranillo. Very dark (remarkably dark considering the wine’s age) ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of graphite, black cherries, dill and oaky smoke. Black cherry fruit on the palate with additional notes of tobacco, dark chocolate and savory spices. Long and linear finish. Medium-plus body and nicely balanced acidity and alcohol. Velvety smooth and quite elegant. At its peak! Appreciate the bottle, Petey!

This couldn’t have been more different than the CUNE, despite being from the same region and only a year younger. Where the CUNE was delicate this was punchy. Ballerina versus a heavyweight. Really, really good. I’d love to get more from this producer.
