Beautiful, powerful Godello found in a bottle shop in central Madrid for 8,50 €. Bright golden color, layered and textural with spicy, floral and tropical aromatics. Lemon curd, grilled pineapple, fennel, salted caramel, lovely mineral finish and imbued with refreshing salinity. Great tension between ripe fruit and herbal notes. Highly recommended for serious value. Burgundy lovers will appreciate.

This is superb! Pear, lemon and lemon curd, honey, white flowers and some chalk too. Wow I like this a lot. The palate is very focused with a great acid drive, some peary and lemony touches, even a lemon peel note, there is some width, a vivid and laser like mouthfeel that concentrates and expand in the rear before a long, peary, lemony finish, with that pear juice mouthfeel which is almost tannic, really. Really refreshing stuff, I like that a lot.

SAQ 24$ 2012 Our first Godello: if it is typical of that cépage, then no thanks for us. Apple and grass, leafy... L & D thought it was OK. No comments from Sof - so he did not like.
