Blend of Cab Sauv & Monastrell with some Mourvèdre, Mataro & Garrut. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe red and black fruits with some floral and spice. On the palate flavors of sweet cherry and black raspberry with notes of cacao and currants with underlying citrus. Big firm tannins needing time to soften, good acidity balance, medium+ finish ending with fruit and vanilla oak.

Another great expressive blend based on Monastrell this time with CS, resulting in a beautiful and robust wine. Deep dark color, expensive aromatic nose with a touch of medicine, black crushed cherries, spices, mint, pine, cedar wood and coffee, full robust body, round, rich, intense with dry tannins and a long finish. Needs a bit more time. My score 89, drink to 2028.

At PnP it’s juicy, bold, deep, spicy. As it opened it showed itself to be really
delicious. Lots of smooth tannins, some oak, and good balance. Def drinks way bigger than the under $20 Costco price.

Pretty solid all way round: dark inky generous red & black fruit mingled with some well integrated wood minerals, clay, subtle spice & Earth. Mid to heavy weight w/suave tannins & cohesive finish.

Really enjoyed this bottle. Went great with our Christmas prime rib roast.

Fair amount of oak on the nose: vanilla, dill, mint, smoke, coconut. Some currant in there as well.

Concentrated fruit on the palate, but oak dominates with similar notes to the nose. Tannins are still pretty astringent.

Probably needs another 5-8 years for the oak and tannins to settle down and come into its own, bit still tasty with hard cheese.
