Scents of dark fruit and smoke, yet easy on the palate. Strong oak, medium tannin, zips up the sides of the tongue. Best enjoyed while watching Game of Thrones with your friends.

100% Tempranillo. Medium ruby color (showing some fade) and some brown highlights. Aromas of black fruit, cigar box, leather and toasted oak. Flavors of black berry/currant, cooked plums, black licorice, cured meat and cloves. A bit of burnt vanilla on the long and lingering finish. Racy acidity and plenty rich. (Thought this was a Cabernet Sauvignon) Tannins have softened over time. Quite savory and robust. Medium-plus body and texture. Showing its age a bit, but still quite pleasant. Thanks for opening, John P!

Darker red fruit. Smooth, but mostly indistinct red fruit. A little alcoholy. Good and probably better with food. Wine night - 7/19/17.
