Medium to full-bodied rioja with dark fruit, spices and earthy undertones. Very pleasant sipping wine with a nice long finish.

The Morales family have crafted this gem with 22 months in new French Oak and another 18 months in bottle. On the nose is oak, rich red currant, cherry, licorice, and a touch of wood smoke. The palate has exotic spice, dry cherries, and cedar. Drying tannins, but not to the point of being unenjoyable. A solid effort, however I'd like to wait another 3-5 years before opening another.

Dec 20th, 2020Very pleasant Rioja from the Alavesa region. Bright berry, violet/rose petal and wood smoke on the nose. Smokey blackberry fruit flavors with hints of cola and mint. Touch of saline on the soft and velvety finish. Medium bodied. Nice!
