Lush and fruity, but not overly sweet. Cheeses, olives, crackers, chocolate = picnic dinner is done. Good value.

Great inexpensive #Rioja. Red fruit nose with some mild earthy aromas. Black raspberry, finishing with stewed cherry. Light on the tannins with decent acidity. Crowd pleaser.

Nice fresh bouquet. Full body & fruity up front, but subtle, not overpowering, plum & cherry, pleasantly dry finish, with hints of black pepper & vanilla. Very enjoyable.

Lots of stewed strawberries up front with notes of balsamic, backed up by toasty oak and mineral flavors. You certainly won't mistake this for a CVNE, Lopez de Heredia, or Muga. But then again, this is also about $12-$15, so worthy of tossing a burger on the grill and enjoying the good value here.

Great value; hard cherry candy, spice, pine and pipe tobacco on the nose; palate of cherry, pipe tobacco, oak, some earthiness; fairly strong tannins, mild acidity.

A little too much oak and a slight bitterness on the finish keep this from getting a 90+ but it won't keep me from buying more at <$12/bottle.

Had it at the Robert Earl Keen show. Well balanced rioja with all the right notes of fruit, spice, cedar.
