Apr 8th, 2018The fruit in this wine is poached and quite ripe with the ripest strawberry and raspberry rolling onto my plum and figs. There’s also a creamy element like cherry pie, with a touch of florals, orange liqueur, toasty oak and a touch rubbery reductive edge. The message is one of ripeness for sure, with a real heady, liquer like nose. The sandy tannins, but hardly intrusive and acid while medium does give a bit of freshness. Length is okay, alcohol high but not rudely so.

Drank August 2021. Interesting wine. Had a bite. Made an excellent base for Sangria.
