Wow! We have made another weekend in the age of Covid. Tonight I have opened the 2010 Beronia Gran Reserva Rioja. The blend is 97% Tempranillo and 3% Graciano.
On the nose there is black cherry, black plum, fig, clove, tomato, vanilla, leather and earthy.
On the palate is black cherry, intense black plum, black currant, clove, spice, licorice, cedar and earthiness.
This wine is full bodied big mouthfeel with a medium + to high acidity and a medium + firm grippy mouth coating tannins that leaves you with a long well balanced dark fruit earthy finish. A beautiful Rioja! Have a great weekend please stay safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Flavorful and fruity Rioja, very enjoyable but not elegant. Still, a great value for under $40. No harsh tannins and a good long finish.
