Dark chocolate and coffee dominates this still young 2006 powerhouse. Bouquet is rich and immediate. Mouthfeel/flavor profile is acidic but balanced, tannins relaxed and round, as the acidic foundation gives it great food pairing potential. Very deep dark fruit give it back of the mouth appeal. With air the lighter tones emerge. Where has this wine been all my life?

Rich, spicy, espresso inflected. Rather a bigger wine than I've been drinking for a while but the quality is evident in the texture and complexity. A welcome return to Spain after a couple of years focused mainly on Italy the US and New Zealand.

Fantastic wine from Ribera Del Duero. Such a steal. Spain is the only place you can get aged wine without paying a premium.
