Big & generous / broad & burly, this is deep dark dense with initially reluctant aromas of black & red fruit, smoke, spice, licorice & Earth. Tight really tight. On palate fairly rigid tannins with dark fruit turning a bit raisiny, spice, pepper and a balsamic flavor. A bit fumbling - not bad and doubt this gets better.
