One of my favority Ribera del Duero Crianzas, this is a fabulous effort for 2013, showing freshness, powdery tannins, dark berries, leather, earth and oak spice. The 14.5%ABV is well integrated, there is enough substance for medium term ageing.

Somewhat candied aromas of cherry pie and strawberry compote with fairly powerful vanilla, leather and smoky cigar ash character. Well-done, if not particularly complex. American oak force is strong with this one.

The 2020 Crianza is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Ribera del Duero and was aged for 16 months, 75% in French oak casks and 25% in American oak. Garnet-red in hue. The nose features strawberry, plum, undergrowth, herbs, cedar and vanilla notes. The dry and ample palate shows mild tannins and a velvety oak texture that leads to a long-lasting finish.
