Aromas of smokey cherry and dark fruit float on a clear cherry red color with an opaque rim. A solid core of black and blue fruits are rounded out by licorice, cinnamon and tobacco leaf. Soft even tannins ride to good length with a touch of cracked black pepper.

Rich, toasty and spicy. Pretty cool wine if not my exact cup of tea.

Tasted in 2014: aged in French and American oak. Based on Borsao's successful Tres Picos style but better--richer, fuller, more complex. Aromas of dark cherries, vanilla, cedar, liquorice, spice, blueberries, cocoa, and newly tanned leather.

Very smooth with cherry, oak and vanilla. Not my personal favorite.

Didn't think Spain could mess up a garnacha. I was wrong.

Always a treat to have this. I like it with spicy food.

I've had this wine about 4 times over the last 2 years and this is the lightest it's been. Medium bodied with jammy strawberry and spice. Lots of sediment. Still tastes good but it's passed it prime. Drink up!
