2012 Crianza. 100% Tempranillo. Cloudy red. Complex nose - violet, prune, plum, nutmeg, tobacco, black olive, herb. Cherry citric roundness in mouth, orange cherry finish. Slight bitterness, moderate to high astringency on center back of tongue. Slightly peppery aftertaste. Should benefit from decanting

I enjoyed this immensely.
Ripe strawberry, leather, blackberry, touch of barnyard, cranberry, wonderfully organic nose.
Acid was fantastically balanced with the tannin-- just a gorgeous silk carpet of tannin and acid.
Seems that age has balanced this beauty out perfectly-- Still great red, black and blue fruit, but not a fruit basket. I'd drink this again for sure, especially at the price.

On the palate, flavors of warm leather, freshly-baked oatmeal raisin cookies, white mold, rose petals, ripe coconut, raspberry and black currant preserves on biscuit, and bitter, spicy, old, decaying cedar wood. Beautiful balance. Fully dry with M+ leathery tannins and M acid. A rediculous deal at $21.
