Keeping on the studies, this time with this VERY aromatic malbec from Uco Valley. It was quite a bargain for about 50-60 reais in a local market...
I wasn't under the best lighting but had the impression of a very dark ruby to red, also clear with some slow tears (alcohol average(+)).
At the first sniff, I smelled a heavy amount of alcohol ... then some lightly oak, red fruits (wasn't capable of identifying which one) and black fruits (which later I realized it was definetely plum).
At the mouth, a medium (-) body, with some highlights of acidity. Later on it became more tannic with some vanilla showing up (also in the aroma), but it shadowed the other aromas.
I had it with some brie and fine herbs. Already curious to try it again with some parrilla!
