Very fresh at the nose with notes of blackberry. At the mouth it is a balanced wine, medium body and short to medium finish. You can also notice some oak and a subtle tingling sensation, perhaps from some pepper... altough it is not evident as a flavor. — 3 years ago
My first white wine after started paying more attention to tasting and sensory analysis...
This wine was perfect for a dinner for two. Easy to drink (it wasn't that "hard" to drink the whole bottle).
The color is a light yellow and very clear (against the light, it looked like water).
Regarding the aromatic and flavors, I was able to smell some pear and tasted a clear notes of tropical fruits (to be specific, i could identify some "carambolas" - star fruit), but in the right amount. I suppose this flavor came from the chardonnay side.
It's a medium acidity wine with an elegant body and a long finish. I loved the balance this wine offered.
Got this bottle from Grand Cru Vinhos' Club (Brazil). — 3 years ago
Initiating my studies with my first Barbera. Visually, a clear and strong ruby to red. At the first snif, some cherry jumped out of the glass making it very easy to perceive it, but later on it got more and more difficult to find the same cherry.
At the mouth, the high acidity was the main actor and after a while I was able to taste some blackberry in it and some sweetness from the cherry.
A wine with a long finish. — 3 years ago
Keeping on the studies, this time with this VERY aromatic malbec from Uco Valley. It was quite a bargain for about 50-60 reais in a local market...
I wasn't under the best lighting but had the impression of a very dark ruby to red, also clear with some slow tears (alcohol average(+)).
At the first sniff, I smelled a heavy amount of alcohol ... then some lightly oak, red fruits (wasn't capable of identifying which one) and black fruits (which later I realized it was definetely plum).
At the mouth, a medium (-) body, with some highlights of acidity. Later on it became more tannic with some vanilla showing up (also in the aroma), but it shadowed the other aromas.
I had it with some brie and fine herbs. Already curious to try it again with some parrilla! — 3 years ago
Ernani Honorio
A pleasant wine, with red color and plenty of tears. The first time in the nose calls a lot of attention for its red fruits aroma, I noticed, in particular, cherry and strawberry. I also think there is some violet in it.
In the mouth, a medium acidity, low on tannins that grows the longer you drink it and also a little bit alcoholic. I found it balanced and enjoyable to drink.
This wine remembered me a lot the Ricossa Barbera d'Asti 2019 that I drank last month, but not that elegant, specially in the mouth. — 3 years ago
