Nov 21st, 2018Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Earthy nose of blueberries, cherries, raspberries, leather, smoke, barnyard, vegetables, spices, wood, light cloves, herbs, bell pepper and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, oak, tobacco leaf, green pepper skin, spices, vegetables, graphite, bitter herbs, black tea and peppercorn.
Medium finish with bitter tannins and tangy raspberries.
An earthy Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza. Spicy with mild complexity, but unbalanced.
A good food wine that will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
I liked the nose better than the palate, but wine is always better with a nice view...
13.5% alcohol by volume.
84 points.
